Alhamdullillah syukurrr....
Raiyan manage to fast for full days again this weekend. And the best thing is he begins to understand the meaning of perserverance and shows enthusiasm when breaking fast together.
The best thing was, we were at geylang on saturday afternoon, and he persevered too. We bought drinks and his fav snack and he just help on to them till he heard Azan Maghrib. Luv him so much.
Luv his bro for giving him support and luv too.
Done shopping for raya, just the basics, nothing flashy or expensive... all within the budget. Alhamdullillah.
Winner
Yeahhh Raiyan menang!...He fasted for a full day yesterday, even in school he didn't snack.
When I reached right at Buka time, he was already digging in his food. I called out to him "yeah Raiyan menang!" He smiled sheepishly.
Eating sahur is getting easier for him too. He can wake up, have his bottle of milk and eat some food.

Conversations...
At sahur time:
Hubby : "T abg rasa abg beli baju kurung dekat JB sudahlah...murah sikit..."
Me: ye..entah kain aper abg pilih nanti..pakai jer koyak...then nak harapkan abg chus kaler? entah kaler aper tah nanti
Hubby: Kaler dia abg dah tengok..coklat gitu..cam t nak
Me :"Ak ah ye coklat pada mata awak..skalik coklat taik ke kuning ke..mana leh percaya"
Note: hubby is colour blind
Toothbrush:
Me: Abg selalu pakai toothbrush kaler yang mana?
Hubby: Yang t suruh pakai lah..kaler blue
Me: Maner ader kaler blue! yang ada purple and red...Yours is red!
Hubby: Oh eh? abg pakai yang blue nie (hubby holding the purple one)
Me: Tu mine lah..tu pasallah dah cepat fray..T punyer soft kind tao..yours is the hard kind...
So wifey, took another new PURPLE toothbrush so hubby can continue to use the RED one .
A few weeks later...
Me: Abg pakai toothbrush yang mana skarang ?
Hubby: Yang brown tu lah..
Me: Maner ader brown!
Hubby: Tu yang tu (pointing at the PURPLE one!)
Me: That is mine again!!! Abg ni kan.
Hubby: OHOHHOHO
So today I took a new GREEN one and PUT it away from the toothbrush holder...on my dressing table.
NOTE: Just got to love my hubby so much!...Little things like this add colours to our moments together.
Iftar...
Alhamdullillah...since the start of the fasting month...have been having weekly iftar sessions with loved ones, family and frens.
Saturday, had iftar at mums place and sunday at cuzzie G's. I blacked out after the sixth rakaat of terawih but continued till the eight in sitting position. First time I blacked out!...nasib tak jatuh...the rest continued till 21 rakaats.
Raiyan fasted full day during the weekend, Alhamdullilah. He ate his favourite food at cuzzie G's...BOTAK-BOTAK (actually OTAK-OTAK is the correct word). He held on to one about 2 minutes before Azan magrib..He said he just wants to hold first..hehe
Missed tadarrus with Bonda this past weekend though, as sat's session was pushed to the afternoon and I couldn't make it at that time slot. Missed sunday's too as was too dead tired and was thinking of spending another full day to encourage Raiyan to fast full day.
Today is school day for Raiyan, hope he remembers not to eat biscuits in class again. He said ok.

Victory for Raiyan!
Alhamdullillah....today Raiyan fasted for a whole day!....All was smooth from sahur till buka ...except for occasional pacifying when he asked for water and milk....managed to keep him busy..playing games and painting..and rewarded him with a big spread for breakfasting at mums place. He had his favourite murtabak!
Amazingly I survived......I was patient and kept my cool..and pacified him with kisses and hugs and encouraging words throughout the day.
He said he will fast again tomorrow...Insyallah....
Abang Zaidi has also been supportive and he has been a good throughout the fasting month and enjoying tarawih with daddy.

Well, so far so good ...Raiyan puasa Half day yesterday although the concept he has was ......
In school, he told his teacher he was fasting...but during snack time...he kinda forgot and took a bite of a piece of biscuit..but the teacher was quick to remind him "eh raiyan kan puasa?" then he quickly threw the biscuit away.
Then after school, he called me at the office and asked if he can drink milk...well..for starters i guess half day training of puasa should be good enough for now...so I allowed him. The funny thing is..after he drank his milk..he said he wants to continue his puasa...Raiyan Raiyan.
He just called and asked for milk before school...I have to be firm saying that he can only drink milk after school...his daddy said that too. Hati sakit jugak dengar suara dia merengek...But I love him too much to let him take this rukun Islam too lightly....I gotta be strong.....

Raiyan's first official day of fasting
Insyallah..
Woke him up for sahur, drank his bottle of milk and asked him what else he wanted to eat? He wanted his potato chips. He asked for 2 pieces. Asked him what shall he say to his teacher if his teacher gives him snacks in class? He answered "Saya Kuasa lah cikgu...tak boleh makan". Still brushing him to say PUASA...will catch up soon.
All snacks and foods will be stored away from his vision... only his precious Puting(s) is allowed for now. Daddy said...puting tak apa lah..important get him to have the feeling of puasa with us and knowing that this is something that is important.
Insyallah....I have to pluck up my strength as a MUM to discipline him... Cuzzie G---today my turn starts...courage to face the challenges of training my son to fast!
The language of Paradise
Subhannallah! Alhamdullilah!
Last weekend was my first time attending a Tadarus session with Bonda at her humble shop. Sitting for hours on the floor didn't bother me, no complains, I didn't even think about tiredness or cramps in my legs much (which I usually do when I have to sit on the floor!)
It was definitely and exhilarating experience and I want more of it. At times, my tears just welled up cos I can't read the Quran as fluent as all of them. I admire them. I regret not taking an interest earlier in my life. Alhamdullillah I have so many loved ones around me who are willing to support and help me with all their beautiful words of encouragement. I love you all....
The best thing was...Bonda will stop at certain points and explain to us the meaning of the verses, the story, the blessings behind it. Ya Allah, everything in the Quran is so beautiful (I can't thing of another word to describe it) Especially the part of Sujud Tilawah...Ya Allah....that time my tears just won't stop...I could feel the humbleness of a muslim...begging for Allah to forgive all my sins and protect me, help me, guide me from making new ones.... Subhanallah!
I keep praying that I get to impart all these kesyukuran and ajaran to my children before I am taken back for good. Ya Allah give me the strength and health for me to continue my jihad and raise my children to be good Muslims so that they can too impart their learnings and blessings to those around them. Insyallahh......
