Zaidi's marks for CA1
Zaidi called me during recess time and was excited to tell me that he had passed all his CA1 papers. And to top it all, he was appointed the class monitor. He explained to me how determined he is to be the best monitor and ...then prefect.
Of course, mummy got to look at his exam papers...not too bad...better than his past papers...but carelessness ...arggghhh ...but of course not to dampen his spirits ....gave him a big hug and pat on the back.
Will continue to guide him in his studies....it is just that...why is it difficult for mums to teach their own kids? I can teach other kids well and build a healthy learning relationship with them...but with my own son...it always ends up in a brawl...me talking at the top of my lungs, my hubby patting me on the back saying (sabar! sabar!) and my son ending up in tears....
Ahhhh, that kills me....when he is asleep...I would stare at his helpless face and hug him till morning....I pray to Allah to give me the strength , guidance and patience in teaching my own son. I pray that this year will be a better year for him and his studies.
Zaidi......
lost his first inter-seligi silat competition to an opponent who had been training for more than a year compared to his 4mths, but only a month on olahraga. But he fought a good fight but needed more skills to avoid kejatuhan. After his round, he came to me and wari and we gave him a pat on the back and said good fight...but knowing Zaidi's softheart nature...he broke down saying his thigh was hurt...and just hugged his dad...we know that he was disappointed in losing.
Hmmm this is the time that we parents have to learn..that no matter how high parent's expectation is of a child...the child has a higher expectation on himself. So naturally, he would be the most devastated and crushed...so what do we parents do? Luckily dad was there..cos if with mummy...hmmm .....mummy sure join his tears...
But later, he was ok and was supporting his team mates...that is a good sportsman...
What's important is that he is doing the sport he loves and will keep on trying and never give up.

This kids, just finished madrasah...and while waiting for their parents...one of the boys took out his mini portable basketball net and ball to play with...He was so careful with the toy that even when his frens wanted to touch it..he said "nanti..nanti....pelan-pelan nanti pecah...I will pasang for you all"... he had blu tack stuck to the toy to stick it on the pillar....They tried to climb but it was not easy....So, my hubby decided to help them out....Guess what.....He managed to stick it up and together with the force of his hands...broke it in 2!....Ni lah dia harapkan pagar...pagar makan padi kan?
Anxious....
Yesterday was an tiring but worth it day.... Zaidi had to turn up at Bukit Panjang CC for silat training to prepare him for the inter-seligi competition. Went with my cousin whose 2 boys are also in the same silat group as zaidi. It started at 3 pm and ended at 9.30!.. We did not expect that there was a mock competition set up for the kids. But it was fun watching the kids fight!. Some were so darn cute but amazing with great entertainment value...Syabas!

That is Zaidi, sitting at the right in front of the judges table....anxiously waiting for his turn...but started yawning after waiting for almost 2 hrs and we had to break for solat maghrib...Then action starts again. As usual , once Zaidi's name was called to get prepared for his fight...my tummy felt queasy..butterflies ...nak terbuang air kecil/ besar...semua datang!!! Looked for his dad...who had quietly moved to sit nearer to his son...on the other end of the mat...semangat betul ayah dia....
Zaidi fought and won 3 out of 3 rounds!! yey!!! He got his technique of defending himself quite well...bravo! Ok..actual competition will be on 18th March...I will sure go toilet again!
Busy Day
My bedroom has been crying out for a new coat of paint. The walls looked old and dingy. Well kept myself busy today , painting it all by myself!!! And my hubby said it looks good! Yey!
Wanted to try paint a colour other than white, which was the original colour, but then we are not daring enough to try. We always think that it would make the room look small and cluttered or cramped. SO we settled for Rose White. Will see if we get daring enough to paint it more darker tones in 2 or 3 years time.
My maid did some spring cleaning in the kitchen, anddddddd she discovered a roach's nest just belowmy kitchen cabinet, a tiny slot between the cabinet and the kitchen floor!!!..She wrestled with about 19 of them! This is the setback for living on the ground floor of an old HDB flat: roaches, lizards and centipedes are the most common ones. Gonna get some roach insecticide tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be another busy day, I should say later today huh. I can't believe it is past midnight! Time flies so fast when it is the weekend.

Updates
Was not in office yesterday. Went for an external course on Pivot tables using Excel. Gained alot from the course...no regrets.
Tonight will be the start of silat training for zaidi at bt panjang CC to prepare him for competition on 18 march. He is so excited about it. Really explained to me and his dad the procedures and stuff to prepare himself for the competition. As normal, mummy abit worried about his safety and stuffs. But mummy putting up a strong front to ensure zaidi has the support (saper nak support mummy?)
Raiyan is busy with school and speaking london with me. Thinking of starting him early in Andalus Madrasah as he is keen to follow zaidi to madrasah every sunday morning. Without fail, raiyan would wake up early on Sunday morning, (belum mandi and still in his jammies) donned his songkok and follow me to send his big bro. All the way, he nags "Ibu ni, raiyan tak ada baju macam abang ke? Bag? Buku? Raiyan nak ikut abang boleh?"
Ok Ok, will register him this weekend.
